“NO GIMMIES”

It has been brought to my attention that apparently a few players have either
forgotten the rule about putting everything out, that has point value, or they have
elected to just forgo that rule. The fact of this matter is that we roll the ball in
the rough, we lose a ball in high grass with no penalty and a very few players
still want to say screw that rule about putting it out with point value. If you are in
a group that elects to play by their own rules, whatever the rule is, and you do
not call them out then you are as guilty as are they. Golf is a game that we have
to police ourselves and that means no “gimmes” and please observe the other
rules by which we play. If you are not sure about those rules then ask me and I will explain.
